Walk through the narrow cobblestone streets of Girón, which are lit by lanterns at night, and admire the colonial buildings; you’ll feel like you’ve traveled back in time. This town, founded in 1631, was declared a National Monument in 1963 for having preserved undamaged colonial buildings dating from the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries.
